A Buffalo family pub, over a century running.

Brunner's has poured beers and fed this neighborhood since 1915. The Brinkworth family has run it for generations, Buffalo tavern people going back to the 1950s and before. Not much has changed here, and that is the point. Pull up a stool for a steak sandwich, a plate of wings, the Friday fish fry, and a quart of macaroni salad to take home. The bar is open, the welcome is the same as it always was, and after more than a hundred years it is still exactly where it has always been. Regulars get their names engraved in brass at the bar.

A bar like this couldn't be built today. Brunner's opened in 1915, long before the rules that would keep a new tavern off this corner, and it has not closed its doors since.
